Abeyta Nelson Donating Warmth to Local Kids this Season

Abeyta Nelson Injury Law is proud to continue its tradition of community service by sponsoring the 2014 Coats for Kids Drive, running from October 15 through December 31, 2014.

Coats for Kids, a public service campaign now celebrating its 29th year in Central Washington, serves a simple yet critical mission to provide warm coats to local at-risk children. “While keeping children in warm coats is important in its own right, keeping kids warm is also linked to their health, self esteem, and regular school attendance,” said Terry Abeyta, senior partner of Abeyta Nelson Injury Law. “We’re proud to sponsor this program to help children,” Abeyta said.

Last year, Coats for Kids collected 944 coats for grade school and middle school children. As we face the coming winter months, consider the children you see on your way to work, or walking home from school in the afternoon who aren’t dressed appropriately for cold weather. All coats received from the community will be laundered before being given to children in need, and will be distributed throughout our community by The Salvation Army.

Make an important difference in the life of a child this fall, and donate a new or gently used coat today at one of the three Abeyta Nelson locations: 1102 W. Yakima Avenue, in Yakima; 605 N. Main Street, Suite 1, in Ellensburg; and 2590 Yakima Valley Highway, Suite 2, in Sunnyside.
