Role Description: The Associate Attorney will work full time on-site in Yakima, WA, supporting the firm’s personal injury practice. This partnership-track position will include managing a caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence, and preparing case evaluations. The role involves communicating regularly with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives to gather information, provide legal updates, and move cases toward resolution. The Associate Attorney will assist in negotiating settlements, preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and participating in hearings and depositions as appropriate. Collaboration with the legal team on case strategy, adherence to deadlines, and maintaining accurate case files and documentation are essential to this role. Finally, the Associate Attorney position will provide the opportunity to work directly with clients and to work independently faster than at larger firms.
Qualifications:
Compensation: Abeyta Nelson offers a competitive starting salary: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00/yr depending on experience, opportunities for bonus compensation, a retirement plan, medical, dental, optical, and life insurance, and good mentoring.
